2016
“A Separate Peace”
Audition Dates: Aug. 3 & 4 @ 6:30 PM at the main theatre
Production Dates: Sept. 23-25 and Sept. 30-Oct. 2
A drama about two high-school boys on the threshold of war and adulthood. The poignant tale follows the friendship and adventure of two very unlikely friends, in 1942. Directorial debut of Buck Rogers, but not his first time directing this piece, says West T. Hill Community Theatre Managing Director Karen Logue. It’s from a beautiful, classic novel. One boy is popular, one boy isn’t. Rogers directed it before at one of the prep schools where he taught. Actor Ross Johnson (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) will be assistant director. Roles for 8 men (7 roles, ~15 – 20 yrs of age)

“Cheaper by the Dozen”
Audition Dates: Aug. 21 and 22
Production Dates: Nov. 4-6 and 11-14
A classic true story about the Gilbreths, a large, unorthodox family. An industrial efficient father (circa 1930s) tries to impose his “experiments” on his large family, who are full of protests. Directed by Jan Sheffield and Karen Logue. Roles for three men, five boys, three women and four girls.

“A Neighborly NOEL”
Production Dates: Dec. 8-11
The theater’s first-ever film and live caroling event, this is the brainchild of Logue and board member Brandon Long. The event is a loosely-written and scripted evening of ringing local door bells and caroling door-to-door by a chorus, and neighbors’ reactions will be filmed and played during choral performances at the theater. We’ll have their reactions right there. Some singing will be good, some will be bad…

2017

“The Dixie Swim Club”
Audition Dates: Jan. 8 & 9
Production Dates: March 10-12 and 17-19
“This is our chick-flick of the season. It’s funny, sad, happy — get five Southern women together and lookout! Roles for five women, and the play will be directed by Martha Robertson.

“Music Man, Jr.”
Audition Dates: Feb 5 & 6
Production Dates: April 21-23 and 28-30
We have such a great pool of kids here. The theater did the show about 10 years ago and it was a huge hit, so why not. It’s exciting to cast, and such a sweet story. It’s another hugely popular piece no one ever gets tired of. Directed by Karen Logue and assisted by Alice Berka. Roles for 10 boys and 10 girls.

“Squabbles”
Audition Dates: April 9 & 10
Production Dates: June 9-11 and 16-18
Described by Logue as “completely hysterical,” this full-length comedy pits a father-in-law against a mother. Chaos ensues. Roles will be up for four men and three women and directed is by Rick Haydon.
